| Description | Refers to the strategies discussed and planned outside of gameplay that affect how players play inside of the game; used to anticipate and adapt to how an opponent will play (the player is said to be "metagaming" his opponent); often includes an evolving set of tactics as gamers become more skilled at gameplay. |
