2. What does HotS stand for in StarCraft 2?

Heart of the Swarm

StarCraft 2 (SC2) players use the acronym HotS to refer to Heart of the Swarm, the first SC2 expansion pack. HotS includes a campaign that focuses on the Zerg race (the titular Swarm). In 2015, the expansion pack was re-released as a standalone game, which does not require StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty to play.

In addition to expanding SC2's story, HotS introduced new units for each of the game's three races. The Protoss gained the Mothership Core, Oracle, and Tempest, the Terrans gained the Hellbat and Widow Mine, and the Zerg gained the Swarm Host and Viper.

3. What does HOTS stand for?

Heroes of the Storm

Gamers use the acronym HotS to refer to Heroes of the Storm, a MOBA published by Blizzard Entertainment. HotS allows players to battle on teams comprised of characters from many different Blizzard games, including Diablo, Warcraft, and StarCraft.

Like most MOBAs, HotS consists of team-based matches in which each team of player characters tries to take over the other's territory. However, HotS's wealth of playable characters, game maps, and game modes make it more customizable than many MOBAs.

HotS also benefits from the ability to cross over with other Blizzard games. For example, HotS players can earn items usable in other Blizzard games, such as Hearthstone and Overwatch.

I prefer HotS to LoL, but then, I've always been partial to Blizzard games
