GS

1. What YouTube channel is GS short for?

GilvaSunner

GS is an abbreviation for "GilvaSunner," which is the original name of the popular YouTube channel, "SilvaGunner." The channel specializes in "ripping" music from video games to create mash-up songs, which spawned the SilvaGunner fandom.

The abbreviation is mentioned in SilvaGunner's "File Select Fusion" video, which was posted on YouTube on September 29, 2016. SilvaGunner goes by the "SG" abbreviation more often than "GS." However, hardcore SilvaGunner fans may still use GS to refer to the channel. The abbreviation is rather obscure beyond SilvaGunner fans.

4. What does GS mean in World of Warcraft?

Gear score

Gear score (GS) is a statistic given to an item of gear in World of Warcraft (WoW) to help players differentiate between similar items when acquiring them. It also may refer to the cumulative score of a player's armor and weapons, which indicates how advanced a player is.

Players may look at candidates' GS to evaluate their potential for maximum performance when choosing others to join a raid or group. While this may seem like a safe rule for evaluating players, it can also be a troublesome tactic since a player may have a misleading GS. For example, a player may not be nearly as good as their GS indicates, or, conversely, a player may be better than their GS and could miss out on raids or groups because of a low GS.

While you most likely encounter GS among WoW gamers, you may also see gamers use it with other titles that feature upgradable gear-related items. One example includes Tom Clancy's The Division.

Example

That guy has a really high GS. I wonder how long he's been playing the game
