Griefing

What does griefing mean in online gaming?

Irritating other players

Griefing is the act of intentionally harassing other players in multiplayer video games. For example, a Minecraft player who continually blows up your creations, despite you asking them not to, is a griefer.

Those who grief derive pleasure not from winning a game or playing it as intended, but by trolling other players until they ragequit. Often, griefers achieve this goal by abusing seemingly-harmless game elements or mechanics. For instance, a League of Legends (LoL) player who is griefing their teammates (yes, this happens) may repeatedly ping locations on the game map, to spam their teammates with annoying sounds.

That idiot just goes around griefing and ruins the whole experience of the game
