If you already thought getting broken up with via text or DM was bad, you're going to hate emoji dumping. This practice consists of ending a relationship via a message that contains only emoji (the cute little faces and other icons you can add to many electronic messages).
Typically, emoji dumping messages consist of a black heart, a suitcase, or both. Apparently, these icons symbolize that a relationship is over, and the person who sent them is moving on to greener pastures.
While emoji dumping is (unfortunately) becoming more common, many recipients of emoji dumping messages have reported that they didn't understand the messages' meaning. Thus, if you're looking to break things off with your SO, you may still want to use actual words.
