CQC

What does CQC mean in online gaming?

Close-quarters combat

FPS players and other gamers use CQC to refer to "close-quarters combat." In FPSes, these are the moments you put your sniper rifle away and break out your shotgun, rifle, or bowie knife to score an up-close and personal kill.

CQC typically occurs in enclosed or otherwise confined spaces, such as inside a building or a courtyard. However, if an enemy gets the drop on you, you could be forced into CQC at any time. So, it's always best to be prepared for an intimate confrontation.
